Job Description

Electronic and Hydraulic Test Engineer

Location: Gloucestershire

Profile: 6 month limited company contractor required for leading International Engineering Company
Salary: £30 per hour

Experience: Proven specific capabilities and experience in detailed software design (preferably using Labview) in an engineering environment

The role will at times extend to setting, testing, calibrating and fault finding electronics. Typically this equipment will be precision measuring transducer analogue circuitry, signal conditioning electronics, digital electronics, relay logic & PLC logic controllers, closed loop servo-electric / servo-hydraulic control systems and electrical controls equipment

Computer literate with programming experience

Knowledge of practical testing capabilities including hydraulics, thermal testing and vibration.

Qualifications: Bachelor degree (vocational, professional, or advanced)/HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline with a wealth of proven experience in the design, development, building and commissioning of specialised test equipment

The Electronic and Hydraulic Test Engineer will join the R&D team in a crucial role to the business as you will support our customers testing requirements on new components destined for flight critical aircraft actuation systems.

The Electronic and Hydraulic Test Engineer will be responsible for development testing and qualification testing on components such as flight controls, braking, steering and engine controls. Day to day the Electronic and Hydraulic Test Engineer will work with the Test Technicians and Engineers to develop, build and commission electro-hydraulic test equipment.

This test equipment will be used to put hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical and electronic components through environmental tests such as vibration, impulse fatigue, endurance and thermal cycling.
