Manufacturing Manager

Opportunity to join International Aerospace company

Location: Gloucestershire

£55000 – £65000 per annum plus benefits package

Experience: Aerospace/ CNC Machining and Manufacturing background

Education/Qualifications: Qualified to a Degree level in Engineering, Six Sigma qualified

The Manufacturing Manager will provide leadership and vision for Production, Continuous Improvement and Planning in this precision machining and manufacturing environment. As a hands-on role, the Manufacturing Manager will bring new ideas to the Production Department and be able to their skills and experience to maximise customer satisfaction, through ensuring cost effective delivery with zero customer complaints.

The Manufacturing Manager will be the leader and catalyst for driving and implementing Kaizen events, lean projects with proven success of waste elimination techniques, six sigma tools and continuous learning. You will therefore be an individual who is able to coach, inspire motivate and train employees at all levels of the organisation.

The Manufacturing Managers key objectives:
– With a long-term strategic view able to work with the Senior Management team to guide and develop the business towards further growth all of which will ensure success
– Provide overall responsibility for all resources assigned to the work shop, in order to achieve all quality, cost and service objectives and to ensure all quality programs, initiatives and commitments are maintained and enhanced
– In partnership with the HR function builds and sustains the Production team with the highest performance, ensure robust employee development and expand on succession plans for the production department
– Improve organisational, operational methods and tools, in order to optimise the utilisation of the production performance factors and to serve as the leader in the team and catalyst for driving and implementing lean techniques, six sigma tools and continuous learning
– Be responsible for staff hiring, training and development, including performance reviews and IDPs for all direct reports
– To be able to optimize the utilisation of resources in terms of people, machines and material
