Job Description
Our Cheltenham based client is currently looking for a Junior Web Developer to join their team of experienced developers. Initially this role is to cover maternity leave with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The salary on offer is £25 – 35K.
The role involves taking responsibility for web ready layouts (full html/css templates) and deploying to a CMS, or building websites from the ground up. Working as part of the digital team, you will be comfortable building sites using HTML/CSS and have a grasp of content management systems. Experience of using Word Press is important and knowledge or desire to make use of other platforms will be welcomed as will be your own creative contributions and ideas.
The successful candidate will also have knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery), PHP with skills in CSS pre-processors (Less/Sass), Bootstrap, Git/Subversion plus other CMS/ecommerce platforms (Processwire, Joomla, Expression Engine, Open Cart) being desirable. You should be a good team player, have a good eye for design and excellent attention to detail taking pride in your work. You will be invited to show off some of your past work explaining what you did and why you did it.
