We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our highly successful client at their headquarters in North Gloucestershire. We’ll be looking for candidates from a Quality or Engineering background with at least 2 years’ relevant experience, including experience of working to ISO 9001:2015, managing and leading audits and managing customer complaints. This permanent and full-time role is on offer for an attractive salary of up to £35K pa, dependant on experience plus attractive company benefits.
The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks such as managing customer complaints as well as internal incidents, identifying the root cause and implementing and reporting on suitable corrective measures with the aim to come to a resolution and improved performance. The role will also involve hosting and leading Quality audits from external organisations, ensuring that accreditations are maintained for ISO 9001:2015, CQM and other Standards required by customers as well as identifying continuous improvement opportunities and manage materials control.
Skills and experience required:
-2 years relevant experience from within a Quality Control or Engineering role
-Knowledge of industry standard problem-solving techniques (8D, 5Y, etc)
-Experience of ISO9001:2015 audit
-Some understanding of and experience with Continuous Improvement processes and tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc) would be of benefit
-Good standard of education from within the Sciences with a good level of Maths and English
-Knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
-Excellent communication skills both written and verbal plus a good eye for detail
-A pro-active approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work well under pressure.
