Job Description

Senior Commissioning / Contracting Manager

Location: Working either from the London office or Telecommuting/Working At Home, this position is based wherever most convenient for the applicant on a regular basis. However, meetings through various parts England are regular and often weekly.
We will also sometimes require visits to client sites so travel is often 50 – 60% within England.

Salary: £52000 per annum plus benefits.

The company is a well-established international company.

Experience/Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent education and work experience
4+ years’ experience in NHS contract management and/or commissioning

Experience in leading host commissioner/trust contract negotiations

Line management experience
3+ years of project management experience
3+ years’ experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint

The Senior Commissioning will work with commissioners in the management of Specialised, Acute, Mental Health and Community providers, the delivery of financial forecasts and the development of innovative QIPP programmes.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Performance manage a number of contracts to include data review, monthly challenges, forecasting, capacity planning and contract negotiations
Lead and provide support and advice to contract leads
Analyse and interpret a range of complex service data and information, including capacity and demand data, and financial and management information.
Attend weekly meetings with the client, providers and other stakeholders as necessary to present performance and financial data.
Contribute to QIPP innovation and programme delivery.
Work within a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, contract managers, clinical leads and pharmacists
