Beverage Technologist
Location: Herefordshire
Profile: An exciting opportunity for rapidly expanding and innovative ingredients manufacturer for global and niche drinks brands.
Salary: £25000 to £30000 per annum
Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in Beverage development.
Qualifications: A Degree in Food Science (or equivalent).
The role reports into the Commercial Director and will involve technical and analytical support to the Sales and Production teams. The Beverage Technologist will develop and assist in the development of flavours for customers within tight timescales in a competitive and fast moving environment.
Principal Activities will include development and formulation of new products and the modification of existing products, routine sensory testing, preparation of lab samples, testing and routine analysis, research into beverage market trends, costings of new products and presenting products to customers.
The Technologist will have strong Project management skills with a passion for natural products and the ability to create blends and functional ingredients in beverages.
Strong mathematical skills are also required for the calculations of formulations and strong written and oral communication skills are required to communicate with customers
