Job Description
On behalf of our ambitious Gloucester based client within the engineering sector we are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Customer Support Engineer. The salary on offer for this role ranges from £20 – 33K, depending on experience. We’ll be considering candidates at the beginning of their careers with a recent degree in mechanical engineering or more experienced qualified service engineers. The ideal candidate for this will be a skilled engineer with excellent customer services skills, patience, attention to detail and superior problem solving skills.
Some of the main duties will involve:
-On-site service, installation and commissioning of equipment as well as providing training to customers
-Hands-on on-site troubleshooting, service and repairs
-High level support to external customers at their location
-Developing and creating service documentation when required
-Creating and maintaining service information on the in-house CRM system.
-Professional handling of field service calls and issues arising from field service visits as well as completing and submitting all necessary reports and certificates
Qualifications and skills required:
To be considered you’ll need to be HNC/HND qualified or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar and have a working knowledge of and ability to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits. You’ll need to be highly organized with excellent written and spoken communication skills and the ability to build a good rapport with clients and colleagues alike whilst being able to deliver top rated customer service. You’ll need to have a good working knowledge of MS office products as well as PC architecture, hardware and software. We’ll be looking for someone with the ability to multitask who can work well under pressure and with a flexible attitude to working hours which may well involve spending considerable time away from home. A valid passport with no travel restrictions and full valid UK driving license are essential.
