Job Description
On behalf of our Gloucester based client, a rapidly growing, dynamic and award-winning e-commerce company, we are seeking an experienced Senior Web Developer to manage their in-house development team. The successful candidate will come with at least 5 years’ of development experience, ideally from within an e-commerce environment, the latest front-end development skills and the experience of leading and managing a small team of developers.
Responsibilities will involve the day to day management of a small development team, managing tasks such as the coding of in-house websites, improving website performance and load times, cross-browser optimisation, A/B testing and improving tech stack.
We’ll be looking for candidates with the relevant 5+ years of experience from within web development and team management. This includes in particular solid front-end development skills such as HTML, CSS and advanced techniques (such as SCSS, BEM or flexbox) and Javascript (EcmaScript6) plus advanced front-end skills such as cache-control, etags, preloading and compression and optimization techniques.
This is a permanent and full time role on offer for an attractive salary of between £42 – 52K pa (dependent on experience) and the chance to become a central part of an exciting and rapidly growing organization.
