Project Estimator
Location: Gloucester
Salary: DOE
25 days Holiday + bank holidays
We are currently recruiting for a Project Estimator to a join a well-established company based in Gloucester.
The role:
You will be working from drawings and specifications provided, to produce take offs to prepare tender and quotation documents.
The role is predominantly office based and there will also be a requirement to carry out site surveys and using this information to produce quotations.
You will also be responsible for communicating with suppliers- creating and maintaining good working relationships.
You will also be required to ensure procurement is carried out in accordance with the company’s purchasing policies and procedures.
Ideal candidate:
To be successful in this role the candidate will ideally come from a strong technical background and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
Previous experience within the electrical contracting industry is essential- preferably within the retail and banking sectors.
Must have good IT skills (excel/word/outlook/CAD).
Must have good communication skills (oral, written and electronic).
Must be a good team player working closely with procurement and sales on a day to day basis.
Mechanical estimating experience would be a distinct advantage.
Ability and willingness to work flexibly and operate in a fast moving environment.
Ability to work unsupervised and to direct own work.
Ability to demonstrate effective organizational skills.
