Job Description
We are seeking a talented Developer and PHP Programmer to join our client, an award winning digital agency with offices in Cheltenham. If you are passionate about the internet and would like a role which allows you to develop and push the boundaries of what is possible this is the job for you!
Some of the main responsibilities will involve developing custom functionality or plugins for WordPress, integrating front-end code with WordPress and optimising website code for search engines.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 5+ years of commercial experience PHP programming. You should be comfortable at working within a close-knit team, have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good prioritisation and time management skills.
Technical skills required:
*Advanced knowledge of PHP and MYSQL
*Must have coded a variety of bespoke websites and/or plugins
*Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
*CMS integration and customisation expertise (preferably WordPress)
*API development and consumption
*Knowledge of Git
*Knowledge of SEO, Server admin skills and front end technologies such as SASS, JQuery, Angular and VueJS would of advantage.
This is a permanent role on offer for a salary of between £35 – 45K pa (dependant on skills and experience) plus attractive benefits.
