On behalf of our innovative client based to the South of Oxford we are seeking an ambitious Marketing Manager to take charge of the company’s marketing and communications strategy. The successful candidate will be an experienced B2B marketeer and communications professional able to clearly formulate and execute a successful strategy, ideally with experience from within the technology or software sector.
What does the role involve?
Reporting directly to the CEO the role will be varied and involve responsibilities such as the following:
*Designing and implementing a regular email and social media communication strategy for the company’s global community of partners
*Developing new and nurture existing relationships with leading industry publications
*Improving the website content and messaging to ensure the product is simply and effectively communicated and developing a regular web content update strategy
*Designing and implementing a SEO strategy
*Managing the creation of white label software products for key industry partners (manufacturers, distributors, large national installers)
*Organising and attending annual trade shows in the UK and US
*Creating presentation materials for large prospect partner meetings
*Gaining a good understanding of partner and end user motivations and using this information to guide the overall communications strategy
*Gaining a good understanding of the company’s competitors, their strengths and weaknesses
What skills and experience are required?
The successful candidate will come with proven experience of having successfully formulated and implemented marketing and communications strategies, excellent organisational and confident spoken and written communication skills across all levels. You should come with an analytical and data driven approach and a commercially driven and strategic mindset and will be able to work well individually as well as appreciate the benefits of teamwork, stakeholder input and a collaborative approach working across cultures and geographical areas and multi-functional teams. But above all you will be a skilled and ambitious marketeer with a bold, innovative and creative yet functional and realistic approach ready to get stuck in with the aim to drive growth and product awareness!
What does the role offer?
This is a full time and permanent role with the possibility of working part of the week from home/remotely (max 1-2 days per week) and the requirement for regular UK and overseas travel. It’s on offer for a salary of between £35 – 45K pa, dependant on experience.
