Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join the IT Department at the offices of our award-winning client based in the heart of the Cotswolds. This is an exciting permanent job opportunity for someone with a vocation in IT and a good understanding of Windows and server technologies in a TCP/IP networked environment, on offer for a salary of between £25 – 30K.
Key tasks will involve providing first line support to the business infrastructure and IT users whilst taking responsibility for duties such as IT procurement, backup management, Apple Mac builds, software and hardware upgrades, network support and telephone exchange administration.
The ideal candidate will have around 2-3 years’ experience from within an IT technical support environment with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills across all levels, a positive attitude and approach to problem solving as well as the following experience and skills:
*A good understanding of current internet technologies
*Windows Server software and installations
*Windows Desktop software and hardware installations
*TCP/IP networking
*AD Management
*Microsoft SQL Server Management
*Sound Microsoft Office skills
*Scripting skills would be an advantage
*Apple OS X experience would be an advantage
