Job Description

We are currently seeking a Head of Marketing to join our dynamic and innovative client based in South Gloucestershire to assist them in the design, delivery and implementation of a marketing strategy aligned to the business’ strategy for growth. The role is on offer for a salary of £45 – 60K and will involve ad hoc UK and European travel.

The role:

The main purpose of the role with involve developing the in-house marketing team to ensure delivery of key projects on time and within budget and delivery of high quality market insights to enable innovative product development. Some further duties will include:
*Developing the Corporate Brand to ensure a consistent and effective market presence and increased awareness of their products both nationally and internationally and defining corporate brand guidelines to ensure consistent representation of the company across all platforms.
*Driving the Social Media strategy to ensure these avenues are fully utilised to promote the brand.
*Leading and developing the marketing team through effective coaching to ensure continuous improvement and innovative outputs.
*Implementing critical pathways to ensure timely and successful product launches for both Education and Travel.
*Acting as a key member of the management team, reporting accurately to enable effective decision making and ensuring clear and engaging internal communications to improve team awareness of new products, business success and marketing activity in the wider market.
*Ensuring the provision of impactful and innovative marketing materials, event stands and exhibition presence for all key annual events.
*Supporting the achievement of awards for both product and business through high quality nominations and awareness of award opportunities.
*Managing the marketing budget to deliver all marketing activity within agreed targets.

Skills and experience required:

We will be looking for someone with a Marketing Degree or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 5 years’ relevant management experience and excellent numeracy, literacy and IT skills including MS Office. You should be an outstanding communicator, both written and verbally, able to handle pressure, work to deadlines and clearly articulate progress to the senior management team as well as be a strong people manager with the ability to coach and develop a team.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, confident, motivated and ambitious with a creative flair and desire to embrace new technologies. You’ll need to be a self-starter with a hands on attitude, able to work to deadlines as well as being a strong team player with a persuasive and diplomatic flair. We’ll be looking for an ability to build good relationships and work collaboratively across functions to get the best possible results and above all we’ll be looking for a passionate marketer willing to challenge the status quo and ensure development of brands and products.
