A fantastic opportunity for a front-end designer with a passion for solving complex problems and creating amazing user experiences to join a team of equally enthusiastic and talented designers, developers and researchers. This role will suit candidates with a strong work ethic and the ability to work well under their own direction as well as collaborate and communicate effectively as part of a team. It offers the opportunity to work predominantly remotely with regular team meetings or from their offices in the North Cotswolds.
The successful candidate will be involved in working on a number of new and existing products with the task to ensuring that all their sites and tools have well maintained and consistent style guides and frameworks, component libraries and user stories. You will be designing and building new interfaces and working on existing ones to meet ongoing requirements as well as translating illustrative designs in Sketch to lightweight, scalable and at times animated web versions.
We’ll be looking for candidates with a strong UI/UX focus and the ability to code their own designs. You’ll need to have a keen eye for interface design, strong knowledge of design fundamentals and the ability to write high quality code with strong HTML and SCSS experience. Complementary front-end JavaScript would be of benefit as would be experience of building animations for web (SVG, WebGL, GSAP or similar). We’ll also be looking for a good understanding of accessibility, responsive design and browser testing as well as experience of Git for version control.
